We want to say thank you to our inspiring community!
Over 50,000 people volunteer in Sutton at least once a year and this contributes over £20million to our local economy. These BIG numbers deserve a BIG celebration and so we’d like to invite you to our BIG Breakfast event, from 8:30-10:30 on Tuesday 7th June at Sutton Salvation Army, to say thank you to all the inspiring volunteers in our community, as well as giving you a sneak peak at something new and exciting for Sutton!
The 50,000 people who volunteer in Sutton each year are a shining example of how we can all make a big difference to our community every day in a range of ways - from improving the environment we live in, through spending time with those who may otherwise be lonely to ensuring essential services are well-supported. We believe such a big contribution is worth a BIG celebration!
So, we’d love to invite you to join us in celebrating national Volunteers' Week 2016. We will be serving breakfast from 8.30am-10.30am, and you're welcome to stay with us for as much or as little time as you like. However, the formal part of the breakfast will kick off at 9am and include the official launch of our new website and Volunteer Connect system, designed to Inspire Community and make it even easier for local people to connect with local volunteering opportunities.
We want you to be part of this amazing celebration, and breakfast is on us so you don't need to pay for or bring anything, but you do need to book as places are strictly limited, so claim your ticket now to avoid disappointment!
