Set up a new Walk & Talk or support an existing group in your area. You’ll play an essential role in creating a welcoming and inclusive community for all parents.

Befrienders will meet people outside their homes, and go out locally together to do activities chosen by members. This could be going for a walk, cycling round the park, or helping with grocery shopping. As a volunteer Befriender you'll offer support and friendship to adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. Members of the scheme may also have a physical or sensory disability, and mental health needs.

The Meals on Wheels service needs volunteer drivers and escorts for the meals on wheels vans to deliver food to local elderly people. One of weekly shifts or multi dependent on the volunteers availability.

As a Volunteer Telephone Befriender, you’ll help improve the quality of life for older people who are socially isolated and may feel lonely. You’ll call once a week to have a chat for about half an hour to help the person feel less isolated. You’ll also encourage them to access services and facilities within their community.

Would you like to support visually impaired people in your local community? If you have spare time, your own transport and a full clean driving licence we are looking for Volunteer Drivers to take members to social events, activities and outings in the borough.

Are you passionate about football and eager to inspire the next generation of players? Join our team as a volunteer coach for children aged 6-11! You'll deliver fun, engaging sessions, help young players build skills and confidence, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship. Our Administration and Carer Support Volunteer will provide administrative support to our specialist Support Team, uploading contacts onto our database, preparing promotional materials and booking counselling appointments with Carers.

The centre needs more people willing to go on the rota to drive the minibus both in the morning and afternoon. Minibus drivers need to have excellent driving skills and be able to remain calm and unflustered if any problems arise while on route.
