A message from our Chief Executive, Anita Maullin:
Here at Volunteer Centre Sutton we are closely following government guidance and we would like to thank you for your continued support as we work together to protect the health and safety of all of our volunteers, service users and staff.
We have taken the decision to cancel all face-to-face volunteer interviews for the time being, and close the Volunteer Centre to members of the public with immediate effect. However, we are still very much open for business and are currently busy working with the entire voluntary and community sector in Sutton to co-ordinate the volunteering roles which can help with the COVID-19 response as well as volunteering roles which can be done remotely. Our main telephone number (020 8661 5900) will be remotely manned by our staff Monday – Friday 09:30 – 16:30.
If you are looking to help your local community during the Covid-19 crisis, you can find out more here.
If you are a Sutton based organisation and have immediate and urgent needs for more volunteers, please contact us via this form and we will be in touch as soon as we can.
After careful consideration it is with great regret that we are also having to suspend our form filling support service for the time being. If you have a scheduled appointment, this has been cancelled. If you have any concerns about your application, please contact Citizens Advice Sutton. You can telephone Citizens Advice Sutton on 020 8405 3552, Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 5.00pm. Here is their latest information on services (13 April 2020).
We will continue to monitor the situation and follow direction given by the government and will take whatever action is necessary to protect the health of our service users, volunteers and staff.
