About the Project
Volunteer Centre Sutton provides comprehensive training for our volunteers to become knowledgeable and compassionate guides for residents facing the complexities of benefits forms. These forms can often be overwhelming and confusing, preventing individuals from accessing vital assistance. However, with the assistance of our trained volunteers, we aim to break down these barriers and make the process smoother and more manageable for those seeking benefits. Our project is a collaboration with Together for Sutton who provide referrals for local residents to access the support needed.
How our Volunteers Help
Our volunteers are equipped with the skills and expertise to meet with residents one-on-one, understanding their unique situations, and assisting them in completing a variety of benefits forms. Whether it's housing benefits, unemployment support, disability allowances, or any other crucial benefit, our volunteers are here to lend a helping hand. By offering guidance, support, and a compassionate ear, our volunteers ensure that no resident has to face these challenges alone.
The forms our volunteers support the residents to complete includes:
- PIP Forms,
- PIP Review,
- Disability Living Allowance for Children
- Capability for work Forms, (UC50 & ESA50)
- Attendance Allowance Forms,
