Thankfully on the day, the weather gods were shining down on us with warm and dry weather, perfect for a bring your own picnic and games.
We had a lovely turn out of Volunteer Centre Sutton staff and members of organisations who both knew one another and were new. We had some great connections made and conversations had, exactly what the forum was created for: networking and peer support.
Anna, from Manor Park Friends Group, kindly made some delicious flapjacks to share and give us some energy for an active game of pickleball.
Pickleball, was something that was particularly requested as we ran out of time to have a go at the July forum. This August impromptu gathering gave us a great chance to finally have a go at something that Sophie, from SACCO and founder of BAP, has been telling us so much about.
It ended up being an unexpectedly wholesome afternoon with great conversation, yummy food and some activity to keep us active.
Thank you to all those who came, and Sophie for bringing her equipment and enthusiasm to Manor Park.
If you would like to attend our next Forum in September it’s due to be super interesting as led by Cllr Marian James at the Civic Offices. Please RSVP to Natasha.
