About the Organisation
MHA-Methodist Homes
What you will be doing
At MHA Communities East Surrey we support older people to live independently in their own homes and communities. We offer a variety of social activities and services for people aged 55. Our scheme is based at Redhill Methodist Church in Redhill. We also have lunch clubs and social groups based in Horley, Reigate and Banstead
As a volunteer driver you’ll support our MHA Community members by providing transport to their MHA groups, GP or hospital appointments or you may collect their groceries. Some of our members are isolated and rely on their volunteer driver to take them to their much loved groups. Sometimes this may be the only opportunity our members have to get out in the community and see their friends. Going to a supermarket seems really simple, but this could really make a difference to an older person who can no longer leave the house.
