About the Organisation
Free to Be Kids
What you will be doing
As a Group Leader, you’ll gain invaluable experience working with a dynamic range of truly incredible children to help them have a break and a chance to get continual positive adult support. Alongside at least one other volunteer, you will help foster the empowerment of young people from a variety of underprivileged backgrounds, showcasing their individual spirits through inclusivity and togetherness. You’ll be there to help them to discover how brilliant they are; showing them kindness, and teaching them to be proud of themselves as they explore and grow through the week.
If this exciting and rewarding volunteering opportunity appeals to you, we can’t wait for you to get in touch!
What's in it for you?
Before you come on a project with us, you’ll be given extensive training in working with children and safeguarding by our experienced team. Then, once away on projects, there’ll be the opportunity to gain great experience working with vulnerable children, make a huge difference to the lives of these children and to share unforgettable memories (and plenty of laughs!) with other like-minded volunteers.
What skills will you need?
What's the time commitment and where?
We ask that you commit to volunteering for a 6-day residential programme, where you will stay on site for the duration.
