Parent & Toddler Group Volunteer - Sutton Ecology Centre

If you enjoy being outdoors and working with young children, this is the volunteer role for you! Assist with running a fun nature themed parent & toddler group at Sutton Ecology Centre, including setting up, preparing resources and crafts, and clearing up after. No experience needed, full on the job training.

What you will be doing

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help us run our outdoor parent & toddler group every Friday, term time only, 9am to 3pm. You will assist with running games and activities, setting up for craft time and snack time, and generally getting stuck in with the children. You will also need to help to set up the play equipment in the morning and clear up in the afternoon. This is an ideal opportunity if you would like to gain more experience of working with young children.

Skills Description
Likes working with children. Likes working outdoors. Good timekeeping and reliability are essential. Good level of fitness, this is a very active role. Volunteers should be prepared to work outdoors in all seasons and dress appropriately. It will suit those looking for experience of working with children and/or those looking to get into environmental education, or looking to fulfil a valuable service and spend time outdoors.

What's the time commitment and where? 

Fridays term time only, 9am to 3pm. You need to be able to commit to come every Friday during term time.

Location: Sutton Ecology Centre, off Festival Walk, Carshalton , SM5 3NY

Next to Carshalton ponds and Honeywood museum, Carshalton. 157 and 127 bus routes, stop Carshalton Ponds. Short Walk from Carshalton train station.
