About the Organisation
Sutton Lodge Day Centre provides a welcoming environment for over-60s, offering hot meals and activities. The centre promotes friendship and social connection, especially for those living alone. Additionally, Sutton Lodge runs the Meals on Wheels service for the borough in partnership with Sutton Council, and the Library Housebound Service in partnership with Sutton Cultural Services.
Sutton Lodge Day Centre is the operational name for The Sutton Old People's Welfare Committee (registered charity no: 284231).
What you will be doing
- Attending Trustee board meetings (around 4–6 per year).
- Helping shape the charity’s vision, strategy, and priorities.
- Ensuring good governance and compliance with charity law.
- Supporting financial oversight and sustainability of services.
- Acting as an ambassador for Sutton Lodge in the community.
- Bringing your skills and experience to strengthen the board.

Location:
The role is mostly remote but there will be occasional visits needed and it’s important to see the Lodge in action. There is no need for candidates to reside in Sutton.
