Role Address

League of Friends St Helier Hospital, Wrythe Lane, Carshalton SM5 1AA

Travelling by Bus: A number of bus routes serve St Helier Hospital: 151- Wallington-Sutton-Worcester Park (every 10 minutes daytime) 157- Morden-Croydon-Crystal Palace (every 12 minutes daytime) S1- Mitcham-Sutton-Banstead via Wrythe Lane (every 20 minutes daytime) 154 -Morden-Sutton-West Croydon (every 12 minutes daytime) 164 -Sutton-Morden-Wimbledon (every 10 minutes daytime) 280 - Belmont-Mitcham-Wimbledon (every 10 minutes daytime) Please note that while numbers 151, 157 and S1 stop directly outside the hospital, all others stop at the Rosehill roundabout. While this is only a short 5 - 10 minute walk from the hospital, this may cause problems for individuals with mobility problems and we would advise that they use services that go directly to the hospital. Travelling by Tube: The nearest underground station to St Helier Hospital is Morden Station on the Northern Line. The 157 bus route connects St Helier Hospital with Morden Station and has a daytime frequency of one bus every 12 minutes. The journey itself takes between 10-12 minutes. Travelling by Rail: If travelling by rail, we would advise patients and visitors to use Sutton mainline railway station and then take a bus to the hospital. The journey takes approximately 5-10 minutes. The following buses depart from outside the main Post Office in Sutton: S1 and 151 direct to St Helier Hospital 280 and 164 to Rosehill Roundabout Both St Helier and Carshalton railway stations are at least a 20-25 minute walk from the hospital with less frequent bus connections than nearby Sutton. Travelling by Car: From Central London, take the A217 via Wandsworth, then left at the Rosehill roundabout into Wrythe Lane. From the M25, take the A217 and turn right at the Rosehill roundabout into Wrythe Lane. From Croydon, take the A232 to St. Philomenas School and then the B278 and the hospital will be on the left.
