About the Organisation
Community champions
What you will be doing
We need help sorting donations in our zero waste community reusing centre. All donations are ethically rehomed or recycled.
We are in need of help sorting and organising donations in our Sutton head office. We have a range of community projects which need specific items.
The role will also involve sorting everyday household items which are then given back to those in need within the community.
We are a passionate, dedicated and caring volunteer group formed in response to the pandemic to bring the community together. When the world around us seemed to be falling apart we wanted to spread love and kindness throughout the community by offering help and support those in need. Thanks to a wide and diverse network of community partners we are able to reach families from all parts of London and surrounding counties.
Since March 2020, Community Champions volunteers have been delivering everything from PPE to the NHS and keyworkers, to rescuing hundreds of tonnes of surplus vegetables to then distribute to food banks, schools, soup kitchens, care homes, charities, volunteer groups and families. Our main goal to end show the community the with the power of love we truly can be a part of the change that we want to see in the world.
Community Champions was founded by one individuals pledge to make a difference to the lives of others and has now become an incredible collective of some of the most compassionate, caring and amazing people our society has to offer.
