Home Start Sutton is seeking a dedicated and passionate Volunteer Grant Writer to join our team.

Home-Start Sutton offer vital support to local families with children under 5, empowering them to become the best parent they can be and help their children to thrive.

What you will be doing

This part-time role is ideal for individuals eager to gain experience in the charity sector or for retirees who wish to contribute their expertise. As a Volunteer Grant Writer, you will play a vital role in securing the funds necessary to support our programs and initiatives. Working alongside our CEO and team you will support ongoing grant applications and help build relationships with local businesses to secure funds.
 
  • Researching Funding Opportunities.
  • Identify potential funding sources, including grants, donations, and sponsorships.
  • Maintain a database of potential donors and funding organizations.
  • Write and submit compelling grant proposals to secure funding.
  • Collaborate with staff to gather necessary information and documentation for grant applications.
  • Track and report on the status of grant applications and fundraising efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with funding requirements and timely submission of reports.
