What you will be doing

Maintaining Hill House and keeping the gardens tidy. This is a volunteering opportunity for residents who care about their local spaces. Keep the Hill House looking good and free from litter for all to enjoy.

We are looking for enthusiastic and helpful hands-on helpers to help transform and maintain the house and garden for a Grade II listed historic building. This can include painting indoors and outside, keeping the gardens tidy such as litter picking, and generally helping with repairs. We welcome contributing ideas on how to help our space continue to be the hub of the community.

Great role for Duke of Edinburgh students to come to weekly and get stuck in!
 
Age Range: We welcome applications from under 18s, including from 13+.

Skills Description
No specific skills required, as long as you are up for it we can find a job for you, if you're particularly artistic or have handy man skills, even better! We provide the tools and materials needed
 

What's the time commitment and where? 

Anytime between 9:30-12:00noon on Monday - Thursday, flexible with timings.

 

Location: Hill House St Helier, Bishopsford Road, SM4 6BL

-Bus 280 stops outside Hill House on Bishopsford Road. -80 stops nearby on Middleton Road 154, 151 and S4 stop by the Rosehill Roundabout. 5 minute walk from there (down Bishopsford Road) to Hill House. -Free parking. However, the community centre is also used for private events, whose guests also use the car park, so spaces may be limited.
