What you will be doing
As an Advice and Information Volunteer, you will support Carers by giving them accurate, up to date advice and information about a range of topics, including local and national services and support they may be entitled to. Taking registrations and initial queries from Carers, you will triage their support needs and refer to the most appropriate staff member for ongoing support.

Skills Description
A clear communicator with a confident telephone manner. Experience of using MS Office and other IT applications including email. Willingness to undertake mandatory training courses, including basic benefits training. Enjoys working as part of a team. All our volunteers and staff work within the Centre’s Confidentiality, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunity and Diversity Policies. Previous knowledge and experience of carer issues would be particularly useful but not essential as full training will be given. What's the time commitment and where?
One morning or afternoon session per week - eg 10-until 1.30pm or 1.30pm until 5.00pm
