Reception & Administration Volunteer - Sutton Carers Centre

Want to make a real difference for local Carers? Join Sutton Carers Centre as a friendly first point of contact — welcome visitors, support the team with admin, and help Carers access vital advice and support.

About the Organisation

A Carer is anyone who, without pay, supports a partner, relative, friend or neighbour unable to cope alone due to illness, disability or substance misuse. Carers can be adults or young people, often juggling school, work or other commitments alongside their caring role. Sutton Carers Centre provides advice, information, support and time out for Carers living and/or working in the London Borough of Sutton.

They provide reception support — answering calls, greeting Carers — and assist our Central Services Team with key admin tasks, from preparing promotional materials to helping with mail-outs. Their contribution keeps our services running smoothly and ensures Carers feel supported from the very first hello.

“I volunteer at Sutton Carers Centre because I wanted to do something useful after my husband died. At the time, I was a supporting a family member attending the Centre so felt it would be good to give something back. I enjoy the variety of work and the people that working on reception brings me into contact with.” Jean, a Sutton Carers Centre volunteer
