Gardeners (Leatherhead) - QEF (Queen Elizabeth's Foundation)

We are looking for general gardening support to help maintain the gardens at our Care & Rehabilitation Centre in Leatherhead.

About the Organisation

Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF) is a disability charity based in Surrey, with national reach. Our specialist neuro rehabilitation centre supports people to regain core skills after an acquired brain injury, stroke, incomplete spinal injury or neurological illness. We also provide complex care for people living with long-term neurological conditions.

What you will be doing

Any gardener will know that the chores are varied, from weeding, pruning, planting, mowing and much more.

What's in it for you?

If you are green fingered and enjoy being in the great outdoors, then this is the volunteering role for you. We offer flexibility and an opportunity to utilise any spare time you have in a beneficial way.

Our clients really appreciate the grounds being accessible and lovely to look at. Being outside is beneficial for all our wellbeing, particularly for our clients and their families during their time at the rehabilitation centre.

What skills will you need?

You don’t need any particular experience, just a love of the outdoors and a willingness to help out in any way you can.

If you belong to a group, have friends with local allotments or work in a local garden centre and would like to volunteer as a group, that would be fantastic too.

What's the time commitment and where?

Time commitment

We are grateful for anytime you have to offer, whether that’s twice a week or once a month, and would love to hear from you.
