Part-time Bar Volunteer Required - Southern Oaks

Are you friendly, outgoing, and looking for a rewarding way to spend your Wednesday or Friday evenings (or both)? We’re looking for a reliable and trustworthy volunteer to run our in-house bar, serving drinks with a smile and helping create a welcoming atmosphere for our residents.

Southern Oaks is an independent, not-for-profit charity providing a range of independent and supported living at a choice of locations in North-East Surrey.

What you will be doing

In our Club Room, residents enjoy relaxing with a drink in a warm, friendly environment, and occasionally gather to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays.

As our In-House Bar Host, you will serve a selection of wines, beers, and spirits (no cocktails) while helping to create a relaxed and enjoyable evening for residents. Your friendly and approachable nature will make a real difference in helping people feel at home.

All our volunteers are required to complete an Enhanced DBS check. This is arranged by Southern Oaks is supported by references and other suitability checks.

What's the time commitment and where? 

Time commitment:

Wednesday and/or Friday evenings 6-9pm, with 20 minutes before to set up and 15 minutes afterwards for clearing down.
