What you will be doing
We are a thriving retirement community in the heart of Ewell Village, and we’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic people to support our reception on Saturdays.
In this role, you will:
- Welcome residents, visitors, and guests with a smile.
- Answer phone calls and take messages.
- Help direct deliveries and pass on information.
- Support simple admin tasks (e.g. emails or Word documents – optional).
- Be a friendly, reassuring presence at reception.
This is a great role if you enjoy chatting to people and being part of a lively, supportive environment.

What skills will you need?
You don’t need previous experience - just the right attitude. We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, cheerful, and approachable.
- A confident communicator.
- Reliable and committed to their shift.
- Comfortable engaging with residents and visitors.
- Happy to help with light admin tasks (optional).

All our volunteers are required to complete an Enhanced DBS check. This is arranged by Southern Oaks is supported by references and other suitability checks.

Choose Your Shift: Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM or Saturdays, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
