What you will be doing

Do you have a few days free to volunteer? Would you like to work with us in our lovely Manor park providing events for the community in 2025? Are you a dog lover? Or is music or art your thing? Lots of roles for people of all ages and fitness levels! Come and meet friendly people whilst helping your community.

Varied voluntary roles for one day only or longer in Manor Park, Sutton.

Events to help with this year include
19th April - Easter egg hunt. We need help with setting up and running children's activities.
22nd April - Earth Day park clear up. Help us to show love to Manor Park by participating in a grand litter pick!
July 26th - Manor Park Village Fete - lots to do including stewarding, car park attendants etc at this fun event. PLUS - do you love dogs? Help needed for our much loved Dog Show (also 26th July)
2nd August - Landscape Artist of the Year. We need people to help with registering artists at this lovely outdoor event.
Last but certainly not least - Folk in the Park! 16th August.Great chance to attend this iconic local festival for free https://www.folkinthepark.com/

Volunteering slots ensure you have plenty of time to see the band of your choice!
Roles available include event stewards, 'Gophers' (helping stallholders, clearing up etc), SetUp/Tear Down crew (erecting gazebos, puttin up bunting, assisting stallholders), car park stewards directing traffic. All roles are ideally for 2+ hour slots.

You can also become a Friend of the Park and help throughout the year.
 
We welcome anybody to this role, particularly refugees and asylum seekers.

Skills Description
These roles are suitable for anyone interested - Some roles - e.g. set up and tear down crews, require a level of physical fitness, but everything else can be adapted to any skill level.
 

What's the time commitment and where? 

These roles are for one day only but we do have opportunities for people interested in the environment to take on roles within our Friends group

 

Location: Manor Park, Throwley Way, Sutton, SM1 4AF.

Central Sutton Buses Buses 280, 154, S1, S4, 164. Any bus or train that takes you to Sutton High Street. Get off the bus at Sutton civic Offices or Sutton Police Station

 

Disability and Access Support: The park is flat with step free access. We would discuss support needs with individual volunteers
