What you will be doing
Whether you can give a little time or a lot, there are different ways to volunteer that can fit around your busy lifestyle. We offer volunteer roles to suit all schedules.
Check out Girlguiding website for more info - https://www.girlguiding.org.uk/get-involved/become-a-volunteer/ways-of-volunteering/
As a Leader, Unit Helper or occasional volunteer, you would have the opportunity to use your talents, learn new skills, develop existing skills and make new friends! Also the opportunity to put something back by helping, encouraging and promoting young people today. The role will demand time and energy, but it is also very rewarding and great fun.
What's in it for you?
Not only is volunteering really rewarding, it can even reduce stress and improve your mood! Make new friends for life and help girls near you discover their potential; whilst having fun and taking part in new experiences.
What skills will you need?
What's the time commitment and where?
It depends on what role, but in general weekly meetings are 1.5-2 hours long; and then we have weekend trips and holidays/camps.
Location: Various locations across the Sutton borough; across all of our x 21 Rainbows (5-7 yrs), Brownies (7-10 yrs), Guides (10-14 yrs) and Rangers (14-18 yrs) units
