As a Leader, Unit Helper or occasional volunteer, you would have the opportunity to use your talents, learn new skills, develop existing skills and make new friends! Also the opportunity to put something back by helping, encouraging and promoting young people today. The role will demand time and energy, but it is also very rewarding and great fun.
 
Age Range: We can accept applications for under 18s, including from 16+.

Skills Description
Willing to get involved with what is happening at the meeting. No qualifications needed, just plenty of energy, enthusiasm, patience, understanding of the age range and a sense of humour. Training for the recognised adult leadership qualification is done on the job. We work together in teams and support each other in work and play, help is never far away when needed. No interviews, just an informal meeting and you will be required to provide two referees and complete a Criminal Records Bureau application as well as Safeguarding training
 
Leaders have to be female, however Unit Helpers can be male

What's the time commitment and where? 

It depends on what role, but in general weekly meetings are 1.5-2 hours long; and then we have weekend trips and holidays/camps.

 

Location: Various locations across the Sutton borough; across all of our x 21 Rainbows (5-7 yrs), Brownies (7-10 yrs), Guides (10-14 yrs) and Rangers (14-18 yrs) units
