Refugee and Migrant Network Sutton (RMNS) offers friendship, advice, and English language classes to refugees, asylum seekers and newly settled migrants.
What you will be doing
- Provide strategic direction and oversight.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support fundraising and community engagement efforts.
- Contribute your skills and expertise to enhance our impact.

What skills will you need?
We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences from our local community, clients and students. Ideally candidates will have:
- Lived experience of migration to the UK.
- A commitment to supporting refugees and migrants.
- Experience in fundraising, media, IT, mental health, education, community development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A willingness to dedicate time and energy to this volunteer role.
18+ only. Candiates must be prepared to undertake a DBS check.
What's the time commitment and where?
Quarterly meetings each requiring perhaps 5 hours for attendance and preparation. Additional time according to level of subsequent involvement.
Location: Sutton, London. Work online and at locations with access.
