What you will be doing
The roles are very simple:
- Making tea and coffee
- Handing tea and coffee to older less mobile members
- Helping move tables and chairs
- Taking food to the members
- Be a friendly face to talk to the members and help them feel comfortable, a group befriender.
- Provide simple assistance for activities like chair yoga and bingo, if needed.
Can be part of our celebrations of religious festivals, our annual seaside trip and any other fun activities we take part in.
The venue is Granfers Community Centre, meeting at 11.00-2.00pm on a Monday, no need to arrive earlier or stay later.
Sangam is a charity that has been around for almost 25 years to give a quality of life to the older members of Sutton to encourage them to come out of the house to help maintain their mobility and help them meet friends, talk and reduce loneliness.
