Club Welfare Officer - Cre8 Football

The Club Welfare Officer supports the club by ensuring policies and processes promote a safe and positive football environment for all participants. This role contributes to welfare information provided to volunteers and coaches and is a first point of contact for welfare matters.

Cre8 Football is a community football club supporting young people’s growth through sport, education, and wellbeing. We aim to provide safe, inclusive, and positive football opportunities for all.

What you will be doing

Key responsibilities:

  • Support implementation of safeguarding and welfare standards across the club.
  • Assist with guidance for volunteers, coaches, and parents on welfare matters.
  • Contribute to updating welfare information and resources provided to staff and volunteers.
  • Maintain records of welfare training and checks.
  • Liaise with the Wellbeing Officer, and other relevant safeguarding contacts where appropriate.

What skills will you need?

  • Understanding of welfare and safeguarding principles.
  • Good communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitivity.
  • Experience in a football or youth environment is desirable.

DBS check required.

What's the time commitment and where? 

Time Commitment:

Approximately 6 hours per week, flexible, with occasional matchday or event attendance as needed.

Location:

Office space available in Croydon/Carshalton for admin work if needed
