Trustee - Sutton Community Works

We are a thriving Christian Charity and are looking for trustees with either specific skills such as digital media/communications or general experience that can contribute to the development of our Charity.

About the Organisation

We are a Christian Charity and our vision is to enable residents in the borough to flourish through our projects. Our projects tackle fear of crime; food poverty; homelessness; emotional well-being. It is an expectation that you will be a practising Christian.

What you will be doing

You will be part of a board of trustees providing legal and financial goverance and contributing to vision and strategic direction of the Charity. We meet 4 times a year and in between have occasional meetings around specific issues. You can also be involved in recruitment panels for new staff but this is dependent on your time and the need.

What skills will you need?

  • Generail experience that can contribute to overseeing a Charity [training is provided]
  • Specific skills such as digital media; communications; marketing
  • Strategic thinking

What's the time commitment and where? 

Time commitment:

Usually the last Monday night of each month- every three months between 8-10pm
