Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF) is a disability charity based in Surrey, with national reach. We support almost 10,000 disabled people a year to achieve their potential and increase their independence.
What you will be doing
As a shop assistant we need help with the following:
- Organising and displaying our varied merchandise
- Serving customers at the till and helping them around the shop
- Keeping up our high standard of window display
- Sorting, steaming and pricing clothes

What skills will you need?
You don’t need any previous retail experience for this role, just a willingness to learn and enthusiasm to engage with the public. Lots of volunteers find there is a particular aspect of the role they enjoy and become an expert in.
Age range: This role is open to anyone from 16 years+. We also offer Duke of Edinburgh volunteering opportunities.
What's the time commitment and where?
Time Commitment
The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am – 4pm.
- Morning shift: 10am - 1pm
- Afternoon shift: 1pm – 4pm
However, we try to offer flexibility on shift times, so you can work around your other commitments.
