Workshop Technician - QEF (Queen Elizabeth's Foundation)

We are looking for a volunteer to help adapt mainstream children’s toys and support the assembly of our products; all to help children with disabilities play and learn.

About the Organisation

MERU, part of the Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF) group of charities, is a charity that creates unique, assistive products for disabled children and young people.

What you will be doing

In this role you will be use your experience in soldering and electronics to:
 
• Adapt children’s toys to operate with a button switch
• Support the assembly of our assistive technology products
• Work alongside our specialist workshop team

• Able to use basic hand tools
• Experience in soldering

What's the time commitment and where? 

Time Commitment

Weekdays: Tuesday or Thursday.
We offer flexibility on shift times, so you can work around your other commitments.
