Gear Up accessible cycle project helper - EcoLocal

Gear Up accessible cycle project - helpers "wheely" needed! Do you have a bit of time to spare on a Monday and/or Thursday morning? Are you local to the David Weir Leisure Centre?

About the Organisation

EcoLocal is an independent charity that acts as a hub for community-led projects, events and activities. Our aim is to "achieve strong, vibrant communities in a healthy environment".

What you will be doing

Our family friendly, accessible cycling project Gear Up is looking for helpers to assist the staff members set up all the adapted cycles (there are over 50 of them!) at the start of each session, and/or help to put them away at the end.

What's in it for you?

You will be providing valuable support to help us deliver this important project.

What skills will you need?

You need to be an active person who can wheel lots of cycles around and be prepared to work in all weathers! The role would really suit someone who likes being outdoors and active. You don't need to be able to cycle for this opportunity.

Age Range: We welcome applications from under 18s, including from 16+.

What's the time commitment and where?

Time Commitment:

Our sessions run on Mondays and/or Thursdays and we need help between 9.30am and 10am, then again between 12 noon and 12.45pm. If you wanted to stay and help throughout the session, that would also be great, but its really at the start and/or the end of the sessions when the help is most needed.

Location:
David Weir Leisure Centre, Middleton Road, Carshalton, Surrey SM5 1SL
