About the Organisation
The Association manages the Riverside Centre, a local community asset in Carshalton, as well as managing two Projects, one focusing on children, young people and families (Time Out Youth Project) and the other on family support and wellbeing (SM5).
What you will be doing
The management committee meets 4 times per year. Each meeting last 2- 3 hours. Your role, utilising your experience and background, will be to read and respond to various papers and updates provided. In addition you will be asked to agree and monitor budgets, as well as engage in strategic discussions.

All of our current management committee members bring something unique to the meetings. You would be a part of an organisation that has a 25+ year history in the local area and is at the heart of the community, as a warm, welcoming and safe space. You will be part of the decision making body for the Association, providing valuable support to the Chief Executive and the team. You will be an advocate and supporter for the Association.
What skills will you need?
First and foremost, to be a good listener and provide support.
A positive communicator and one who can engage in discussions and decision making.
No specific skill set is needed, perhaps a willingness to commit and learn, however a background in marketing and legal matters is preferable and currently being sought.
What's the time commitment and where?
Time Commitment:
Meetings are held quarterly, usually weekdays, in the morning, for 2 -3 hours at a time.
