About the Organisation
We are an independent, local charity supporting older people in the London Borough of Sutton for over 30 years. We offer a wide range of services and support for older people, their families and carers who need our help and to support you to live an independent and fulfilling later life.
What you will be doing
As an independent, local charity we are responsible for raising our own funds so we can continue to deliver vital services and provide support to thousands of older people, their families and carers in Sutton. We need a volunteer to help us extend our reach and shout proudly about our services and events.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident volunteer with local knowledge to support us with both creating and uploading content across multiple social media channels within our brand guidelines. You will establish and maintain relationships with local Facebook groups and look into trends and tools to support our marketing strategy.

In addition to providing you any relevant training for the role, we will also provide you with check-ins, a key contact or other functions to ensure you are best supported as a volunteer. You will be given travel expenses in accordance with our policy. You would join a friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic team. There are always opportunities for personal development.
What skills will you need?
You need to be confident and have a creative eye, have strong written communication skills and computer skills. You need to be familiar with and have experience using different social media platforms and be keen to grow in this space. If you have any skills in photography or videography, that would be a bonus!
DBS check required.
What's the time commitment and where?
Time Commitment:
Ideally, 3-4 hours per week, which can be flexible
Role Address:
This role would initially be based in our offices (Sutton Gate, Carshalton Rd, Sutton SM1 4LE) however there may be opportunities for home working.
