Cheam and South Sutton Integrated Neighbourhood team are seeking an individual who lives or works in Cheam or South Sutton to join their team. Integrated Neighbourhood teams aim to improve the physical and mental health of people across primary care, social care and voluntary organisations in the community. We are looking to recruit ASAP with someone looking to start in the early new year.

About the Organisation

Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT) is a multi-disciplinary group of healthcare, social care and volunteers working together in a local area to provide joined-up, preventative care, reducing hospital visits and proactively assessing and assisting in a patients care in their own home or community. There are four INTs across Sutton, Cheam and South Sutton (CASS) are recruiting a co-chair at present.

What you will be doing

  • You will be well supported in your role with a leadership team of 4-5 other people around you.
  • You will be providing assistance to the Chair role in decision and leadership making.
  • You will need to attend online catchups and meetings with the leadership team and sometimes wider.
  • You will work alongside GPs, Nurses, Pharmacists, Physician Associates, Social Workers, Leaders in local organisations as a multidisciplinary approach.

Whilst integrated neighbourhood teams are not 'new' in Sutton their work will become more and more prominent, this would be an exciting opportunity for someone to add a leadership role to their CV in an area of healthcare that is up and coming.

What skills will you need?

  • We are looking for someone who is familiar with the Cheam and South Sutton Area and may work or live here.
  • We are looking for someone who is passionate at improving health or social care in this area.
  • They may have an interest in health inequalities, our latest framework suggests that pieces of work will need to be carried out regarding frailty therefore someone with experience in this area would be beneficial too.
  • You don't need to be a doctor, nurse, qualified social worker etc, the idea of the role is that the leadership team is led by the community for the community therefore if you do not have any vocational qualifications that is not essential to the role.

A DBS check will be carried out for this role.

What's the time commitment and where? 

Time Commitment:

Commitment is around 4 hours a week. We have meetings on Monday lunchtimes weekly and every first Wednesday and Friday of the Month. Meeting attendance is not compulsory for the role however if you do have availability on these days that would be beneficial.
