Community Cuppa Volunteer - Sutton Vision

Help host warm, welcoming Community Cuppa mornings for people with sight loss in the London Borough of Sutton. Spark conversation, build connections and share helpful information about activities, services and support.

About the Organisation

Sutton Vision is a local charity offering information, advice and support to anyone affected by sight loss in the London Borough of Sutton. We provide a tailored package of support that can include help navigating treatment options, employment support, help with benefits and forms, advice on technical aids and a range of adapted social activities to alleviate isolation.

Volunteers are vital to our services, supporting activities, befriending and our team. In our 60th anniversary year, Sutton Vision received the King’s Award for Voluntary Service, recognising our outstanding support for visually impaired people.

What you will be doing

Our coffee mornings for visually impaired service users run once a month on a Tuesday morning, currently in a local coffee shop in 3 locations in Sutton - Worcester Park, Cheam and Wallington. 

The community cuppa volunteer role is to be one of two volunteers hosting a coffee morning. 

We will provide you with latest news and activities list to promote to the attendees living in the local area. Tables are reserved at the venues and Sutton Vision table-top banner provided.

There will be two volunteers at each venue supporting the group with ordering of refreshments and taxi collections.

  • References and a DBS check will be required for this role.

A Tuesday morning, once a month

Role Address: 

One of our 3 current coffee morning venues located in Worcester Park, Cheam and Wallington.

Sutton Vision offices are at 3 Robin Hood Lane, Sutton, SM1 2SW.
