Cheer Point Volunteer - Pancreatic Cancer UK

Join us in making our cheer points the loudest and purpliest, so our runners and walkers get the boost they need to make it over that finish line. Our London events for 2026 include London Landmarks Half Marathon (12th April 2026), London Marathon (26th April n2026), Thames Bridges Ultra (12th September 2026) and Royal Parks London (11th October 2026)

About the Organisation

At Pancreatic Cancer UK, we go above and beyond for everyone affected by pancreatic cancer. Right now, half of people with this disease die within three months of diagnosis. Families are left with only hope to hold onto. They need more. So, we do more.

We do this through:

  • Bringing more breakthroughs through research.
  • Influencing change through campaigning - making more noise because people have gone unheard.
  • Developing our support and information services, including through our expert nurses.

We are relentless because the disease is ruthless. We care more because people feel forgotten. Because people with pancreatic cancer need more than hope.

What you will be doing

  • You’ll join other volunteers and staff members to make some noise when you see our runners and walkers.
  • Cheer, clap and make them know we’re here for them!
  • Wear our purple branded t-shirt and represent Pancreatic Cancer UK.
  • Ahead of the event you will need to read through our induction or join an online briefing session.

What's in it for you?

  • You'll play a key role in giving our amazing runners an experience to remember, as they power towards the finish line.
  • You'll meet lovely people along the way, including fellow volunteers and Pancreatic Cancer UK staff.

What skills will you need?

  • Be a minimum of 16 years old (written parent/guardian consent required for 16/17 years olds).
