Receptionist - Ryan Neuro Therapy Centre

Join us to make a difference to our Charity by providing a professional and confidential reception service for visitors and service, assisting with phone and in person enquiries, booking appointments and supporting the administration team.

About the Organisation

The Ryan Neuro Therapy Centre supports people who have a neurological condition, such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, acquired brain injury and Stroke survivors, with physiotherapy and occupational therapy led exercise.

What you will be doing

As part of our team of volunteer receptionists, you will:

  • Provide a professional and confidential reception service for visitors/members. This includes welcoming members and visitors and signposting accordingly.
  • Assisting with enquiries over phone and in person and directing as appropriate, promptly and efficiently.
  • Booking appointment using the Cliniko booking system (full training provided)
  • Monitoring waiting lists on the Cliniko booking system and contacting members to fill cancelled appointments.
  • Covering for the Refreshment Volunteer in their absence.
  • Ensure that the reception area is maintained to a high standard.
  • Assist with the arrangements for fundraising events/activities at the Centre (e.g. selling raffle tickets to members and visitors).

What skills will you need?

Requirements & Expectations of Volunteers:

  • Reliability – commitment to a regular time-slot each week/fortnight.
  • Good interpersonal skills, particularly listening.
  • Ability to work confidentially in a patient, tactful, and sensitive manner.
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office and the internet.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work calmly in a hectic environment.
  • Ability to respond appropriately in challenging situations.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to complete a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check - free of charge.
