Refreshments Co-ordinator - Ryan Neuro Therapy Centre

We are looking for a volunteer to make hot and cold drinks to members between classes and keep the refreshment area tidy, building a good rapport with our service users to ensure that their visit to the Centre is an enjoyable experience.

About the Organisation

We provide physiotherapy and occupational therapy to people living with a neurological condition, such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, acquired brain and spinal injury and Stroke survivors.

What you will be doing

As our Refreshements Co-ordinator volunteer, you will be:

  • Welcoming members and visitors and signposting accordingly. 
  • To make hot/cold drinks and serve light refreshments (biscuits/cake)
  • To talk with members and carers to ensure that they feel welcome and included.
  • Assist with the arrangements for fundraising events/activities at the Centre (e.g. selling raffle tickets to members and visitors) as required.

What skills will you need?

  • Reliability – commitment to a regular time-slot each week.
  • Friendly, approachable with good verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, particularly listening.
  • Ability to work confidentially in a patient, tactful, and sensitive manner.
  • Ability to work calmly.

What's the time commitment and where? 

Time Commitment:

Thursdays weekly - 10.30am to 2.15pm.
