Youth Group Support Volunteer - Parish of St Helier

Want to work with young people in your local community? St Helier Youth is a weekly after school FREE youth club for children aged 10-14, providing a safe space for young people to hang out and build community.

About the Organisation

St Helier Youth is run by Christian leaders from the Parish of St Helier, that works to support residents in the St Helier area and strengthen community life.

What you will be doing

You will be supporting our Community Pastoral Worker to run this group where we put on lots of fun activities each week, from arts & crafts, to cooking and games. We also provide a free snack (and sometimes a small meal). We need a few extra pairs of hands to make young people feel welcome and comfortable, and make sure the session is fun for everyone.

What's in it for you?

  • Make a real difference to young people in your community.
  • Gain valuable experience for careers such as youth work, social work or teaching.
  • Meet new people, make new friends and have fun along the way.

What skills will you need?

No experience is necessary, but a genuine enthusiasm for working with young people is important.

Our minimum age requirement is 18.

An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.

What's the time commitment and where?

Time Commitment:
