Kids & Families Team - Beeches Baptist Church

Whether you want to use your free time to support children and families or to enhance your CV, we have a range of opportunities available. You can choose from assisting at our Baby & Toddler Group, Friday Club Infants, or Friday Club Juniors. Training and support are provided. Everyone is welcome, as there are roles to suit a range of abilities and interests.

About the Organisation

We are a welcoming, community-focused church. Our diverse groups and activities cater to all ages, and our café serves as a welcoming space for connection. We have teams made up of church members and friends. We are committed to supporting and encouraging volunteers in a friendly environment.

What you will be doing

  • Help team members plan and run sessions effectively.
  • Create a friendly, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
  • Support those with different abilities and learning styles.
  • Follow session plans and use the resources provided.
  • Ensure that the sessions are safe and fun for everyone.

What skills will you need?

Training and support are provided. We're mainly looking for volunteers...

  • with experience of or who enjoy working with children and families
  • are patient, positive and happy to help
  • are reliable and able to commit on a rota basis

Our minimum age requirement is 16.

A DBS check will be required for this role.

What's the time commitment and where? 

Time Commitment:

For the different roles involved, the volunteer team time commitment would be as follows...

Tuesday Morning Baby & Toddler Group 9.30am - 11.30am

Friday Club Infants 3pm - 5pm

Friday Cub Juniors 4.45pm - 6.45pm

Please note all groups meet in term time only, and team help on a rota basis.
