Community Volunteer Squad Builds Storage Shed for Sutton Family

Three Community Volunteer Squad volunteers spent four hours building a storage shed, helping a local mum and her two young children.

Three fantastic volunteers from Volunteer Centre Sutton’s Community Volunteer Squad have completed a practical task to help a local family, creating much-needed extra storage space.

Melanie, Jacky and Penny spent four hours assembling a 6.8 x 4.6-foot flat-pack metal storage shed for Emine, a single mum with two young children who was referred to the project by Home-Start Sutton.

The task highlights how giving a little time and practical support can make a meaningful difference to local families. Through their hard work and dedication, the volunteers helped make everyday life that little bit easier for Emine and her children.

Emine was delighted with the finished shed and praised the volunteers for their efforts, saying:

“I'm really proud of them, they did a wonderful job, I'm so happy!”

A huge thank you to Melanie, Jacky and Penny for generously giving their time to support a local family, and to Home-Start Sutton for referring Emine to the project.
