Community Volunteer Squad: Our Volunteers Can Help Residents with Decluttering and Organising

Amongst our multi-talented Squad volunteers are the "Magnificent Four" who are brilliant at helping residents with decluttering and organising. Just before Christmas, they helped Roger get his house ready for family visitors.

202501 Community Volunteer Squad - Roger

A group of our fantastic Community Volunteer Squad volunteers helped Roger just ahead of Christmas to get through a last bit of decluttering ready for his family members to come visit.

He dubbed them the "Magnificent Four" who together helped Roger go through, what he admits, "Too Much Stuff!".

Roger was very grateful for the support provided by the Community Volunteer Squad members.

We know it can be hard to get started when dealing with "Too Much Stuff" especially after a bereavement or on your own. Sometimes you just need a little "push-start" - and this was just the small one-off push/support this resident needed to get through his piles of stuff.

The Community Volunteer Squad takes referrals from organisations such as Citizens Advice Sutton, Together for Sutton, Age UK Sutton and others. If you support residents who you think might benefit and would like to become a referral partner, we would love to hear from you. Please contact Nick at nickbaum@vcsutton.org.uk.
