Health Navigators Project Off to a Strong Start with New Funding

New 12-month funding is helping the Health Navigators project deliver vital health checks, advice and community support across Sutton residents.

Thanks to new funding secured from the London Borough of Sutton Public Health Directorate from May 2026, our Health Navigators Project is already making a positive impact across Sutton.

In the first month alone, the team delivered 12 outreach sessions and carried out 198 blood pressure checks, providing vital health support and raising awareness of cardiovascular wellbeing within the community.

The project has already reached residents through a variety of community events and partner organisations, including the Refugee and Migrant NetworkMental Health Awareness Week events at TazzaCranstoun Inspire Open Day, and St Helier Festival.

These outreach sessions help residents access free health checks, receive practical advice, and connect with local support services in welcoming and familiar community spaces.

Looking ahead, even more sessions are planned over the coming months as the project continues to expand its reach. The team will also attend upcoming community events, including EcoFair, bringing health support directly to more local residents.

We look forward to another year of supporting community wellbeing and helping more people take positive steps towards better health.
