On Sunday 15th January 2023, we took a group of our MAPS children and young people, along with their Mentors, to the Adelphi Theatre, London to watch the West End show, Back To The Future. The day was a great success which started with a trip around some of the sights of London before heading to the theatre with a lot of excited people. Everyone was in high spirits, really enjoyed the show and all left with big smiles on their faces.
For many of the children supported by MAPS, a trip to a West End theatre was a very special first-time experience. Thank you to Ian Williams and Hyde Housing Match My Project, and also the Rotary Club of Wallington for all their generous support to make this trip possible.
And here’s what our Mentoring pairs thought:
“A huge thanks from my mentee, her family and me for a great day out. Back To The Future was great fun! The cast, 50's and 80's costumes and the stage setting were amazing! What a blast.” Mentor
“I have had a great day, first we went sightseeing around London and then Back To the Future. I loved the show, thank you.” Mentee
“Thanks for the brilliant trip! We really enjoyed it and WOW, that ending with the car was terrific! We spent quite a while on the way home working out how they did the 350...! Massive thanks.” Mentor
