Pilot MAPS Peer Support Group – Elevate Lifts Off!

Pilot MAPS Elevate Peer Support Group receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from young people, families, and professionals.

The pilot MAPS Elevate Peer Support Group, designed to support young people experiencing low mood, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts, has launched successfully, with feedback showing significant positive impact. 

"It’s an inviting place. It’s safe – I know everyone here has the same experience. Sometimes it’s better when you know others are feeling the same." 

Session Feedback Highlights: 

  • 97% of young people felt safe and comfortable at the sessions. 
  • 88% felt the session was helpful in some way. 
  • 85% said they had a chance to speak or share. 
  • 94% found something useful or relatable in the discussions. 
  • 85% said they would attend again. 
  • Average star rating: 4/5 across all sessions. 

These results underline the value of peer support in helping young people feel understood, supported, and connected.
