This year’s theme, Youth Matters, centred on empowering young people aged 11–25 to have their voices heard in local decision-making. The Summit is part of a borough-wide initiative to ensure that young people in Sutton can influence the issues, services and opportunities that matter most to them.
Unity Junction was buzzing throughout the afternoon with free pizza, cakes, dancing, music, singing, talks, competitions and activities, creating a vibrant and welcoming space for all who attended. 🍕🧁🕺🎤🎻🎫🏆🥳
All 27 organisations hosted fun and engaging activities at their stalls – from games and quizzes to creative challenges – each designed to gather young people’s views across a wide range of topics such as wellbeing, safety, education, employment, environment, creativity and community life. Their feedback will directly support work across the borough to strengthen opportunities and services for young people.
We extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make the Summit such a magical experience: our hosts, sponsors, prize givers, performers, volunteers and all participating organisations. Your passion and collaboration continue to make this event a standout moment in the borough’s calendar.
Most importantly, thank you to the young people of Sutton. Your enthusiasm, ideas and honesty drive real change and help shape a brighter, more inclusive future for our community.
We can’t wait to welcome you back for next year’s Summit!
