Young Commissioners Mark a Year of Achievement with Festive Bowling Trip

A Christmas bowling trip in Croydon brought everyone together to celebrate a year of hard work, dedication and achievement 🎳

On 18 December 2025, the Young Commissioners came together for a fun-filled end-of-year celebration at Tenpin Bowling in Croydon, marking the end of a busy and successful year. The Christmas bowling trip was a chance to recognise their hard work, commitment and achievements over the past 12 months.

The celebration was made extra special as it was chosen by the latest Jack Petchey Award winner, who decided to use her award funding to treat the group to a bowling evening. A total of 22 Young Commissioners took part, alongside staff members Rose, Hannah and Souvi, enjoying the event from 4:30pm to 7:00pm.

Alongside bowling, everyone enjoyed a shared meal including burgers (with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options), hot dogs and a range of soft drinks. The atmosphere throughout the evening was cheerful and lively, with plenty of laughter, conversation and friendly competition as the group bowled together.

The Young Commissioners spoke warmly about the experience, sharing comments such as:
“Thanks a lot, it was a great experience,”
“Thank you so much for today, it was so fun!”
“Thanks so much!! It was wonderful! 😊”

The evening was a fitting way to celebrate a year of positive impact and teamwork, and a reminder of the importance of recognising and celebrating young people’s contributions.
