As a Retail Volunteer you will learn all about what goes into making our fantastic shop thrive. You can keep busy in the stockroom sorting and checking donations or be on the shop floor, serving customers and putting stock out on sale. Whatever suits you! Best of all you’ll be raising vital funds to support people facing poverty around the world.

Do you want to do something great for your community, whilst having a really fun time? We are looking for volunteers to support adults with learning disabilities to go anywhere, and do anything!

This is a great "micro" volunteering opportunity if you are new to volunteering and would like to give it a try. We are looking for volunteer receptionists to provide a welcoming reception service to visitors and callers, so if you can spare an hour or two on a weekday between 10am and 3pm, then this might be just the role for you!

Befrienders will meet people outside their homes, and go out locally together to do activities chosen by members. This could be going for a walk, cycling round the park, or helping with grocery shopping. As a volunteer Befriender you'll offer support and friendship to adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. Members of the scheme may also have a physical or sensory disability, and mental health needs.

To meet and greet customers to the house and provide an overview of it’s history and answer any queries they may have. Deliver tours to a wide range of people including general visitors and scheduled exclusive out of hours tours. Learn and retell the stories of the house and it’s fascinating history Recognise and assist visitors who may need help to ensure they have a memorable, comfortable and enjoyable visit. Play a part in safeguarding the property and the objects within it.

You will help foster the empowerment of young people from a variety of underprivileged backgrounds, showcasing their individual spirits through inclusivity and togetherness. You’ll be there to help them to discover how brilliant they are; showing them kindness, and teaching them to be proud of themselves as they explore and grow through the week.
