The pocket guide and stickers are now available to collect to show your support of our welcoming and inclusive borough, by reading and putting the sticker on your front window, your business entrance, or car.
Over the Summer, the Young Commissioners and Volunteer Centre Sutton, along with local organisations and residents have been collecting data through our survey and on street interviews to understand how diverse the borough is and how we can help everyone feel more included. We want everyone, no matter their age, gender, sexuality, background, education, health, ability, race, culture or religion to feel welcome in Sutton.
This has culminated in our small, bright and helpful booklet with information about different communities who all live and contribute to our great borough. The pocket guide challenges intolerance and increases understanding by strengthening relationships across Sutton.

You can order physical copies of the pocket guide and stickers (including just one for your household) by contacting hello@vcsutton.org.uk and collecting from our office, or access a digital version here.
As part of this project, the Young Commissioners took part in logo workshops and co-created a neutral design without any association, so that everyone can walk down their road or High Street and feel the welcoming unity of our amazing borough through seeing these stickers.
The Celebrating Sutton’s Diversity badge has been used in all related social media campaigns, and physical print for the Mid-Autumn Festival and the Sutton Youth Summit, and we encourage other events to adopt it and share the message.
