Our Vision is a community where people from all backgrounds, ages and cultures can volunteer in the way they choose, in all stages of their life. Volunteer Centre Sutton is a local charity and through the use of volunteers we address the needs of the community and beyond. Over 7,000 people with 24 staff helped us to fulfil our vision and mission to support communities and people in Sutton during 2022.
It is always a great chance for us to reconnect with, and thank in person, a range of familiar faces from trustees, organisations, volunteers and staff and previous staff.
At the event, Tony Hazeldine, Vice Chair of the Trustees, Councillor Marian James, and Anita Maullin, Chief Executive thanked volunteers, staff, partner organisations and the community in supporting us in our achievements.
The Impact Report highlighted some impressive statistics including 7,585 people engaged and supported us in 2022-23 providing 39,411 hours of Volunteer time. Staff and volunteers provided support to deliver 16 programmes to Sutton communities and individuals, providing a pound value of £470,961.
We thank everyone for attending and celebrating with us with a few glasses of sparkling cordial and moreish cakes. It was great to feel the buzz as people caught up with one another and met new contacts. Thanks to local volunteer photographer Peter Struik for the photos.
