Whether you're a charity, community group or public sector organisation, our Volunteer Hub offers a simple, effective way to advertise your volunteer opportunities and reach people who are ready to give their time and skills. This digital platform is part of our commitment to strengthening Sutton’s voluntary sector and making volunteering more accessible for everyone.
According to the NCVO Time Well Spent National Survey on the Volunteer Experience, one in five (20%) say they ‘expected the process of getting involved to be quicker’, with 33% of 18 to 24 year olds agreeing they expected the process to be quicker.
Our main aim of the Volunteer Hub is to streamline the journey from volunteer to organisation, resulting in a quicker process and a better experience for the volunteer, as well as enabling organisations to be able to access volunteer resource in the quickest way possible.
Our new, more user-friendly Volunteer Hub sits within Volunteer Centre Sutton's main website and is optimised for search engine discoverability. In just two days of launch, the Volunteer Hub is one of our Top 10 webpages with visitors spending an average of three minutes on the page.
People searching for volunteer roles do not have to compete a registration, they simply express interest in a role and then are connected directly to the organisation to follow up with their own recruitment process. All role listings are managed and updated by our dedicated Volunteering Team. Best of all, the Volunteer Hub is completely free to use and fully supported by our experienced staff, who are always on hand to help you get the most out of the service.
