Meet Jasmin, our Volunteer Story of the Month! Jasmin has been a dedicated member of the Young Commissioners, a project from the Volunteer Centre Sutton, for over two years. The Young Commissioners is a group of around 30 young people representing different schools across the borough that meets regularly to work on initiatives aimed at improving the local community, including partnering with the police and Sutton Council.
At just 17 years old, she has made a significant impact through her volunteer work and is highly valued by every team she joins. Jasmin was recently awarded the Jack Petchey Award, voted for by her fellow Young Commissioners, in recognition of her exceptional contributions.
Jasmin got involved with the Young Commissioners after finding herself with some free time and discovering the Volunteer Centre Sutton. Since then, she has participated in various events, from fundraising efforts to impactful collaborations.
In addition to her work with the Young Commissioners, Jasmin is also Deputy Head Girl at her school and is a member of the King's Meal Volunteering team which she will be starting soon.
Jasmin’s dedication is truly inspiring, demonstrating that anyone can make a difference, regardless of age.
