The session was attended by 22 Young Commissioners alongside staff members Hannah and Souvi.
The new office space was a hit, offering more room and a variety of games and activities. The Young Commissioners particularly enjoyed the table football and pool table, making the most of the fun facilities during the session. Many shared that they had a great time, appreciating both the activities and the collaborative discussions.
A key highlight of the session was an interactive learning experience about MAPS (Mentoring and Advocacy), where young people took part in an engaging role-play session led by Hannah. The exercise helped them explore the roles of mentors and mentees, as well as the positive impact that mentoring can have.
This exciting first session in the new office sets the stage for many more productive and enjoyable meetings with the Young Commissioners. The team looks forward to further collaboration, learning, and community-building in the future.

The Young Commissioners are a group of secondary school–age young people from across Sutton who meet fortnightly during term time, with extra opportunities to get involved during holidays and in between sessions. They give local youth a voice, influencing key decision-makers, running campaigns, improving safety and mental health, championing equality and diversity, and organising community events—all while having fun and enjoying plenty of snacks along the way.
