We are currently seeking dedicated volunteers to mentor young people aged 11 to 16 in local schools through MAPS Mentoring, an award-winning scheme that has been making a difference in the London Borough of Sutton for over 30 years. As a mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic goals and grow in confidence, offering guidance, encouragement, and a consistent, supportive presence. This is a rewarding opportunity to have a lasting impact on a young person’s life. Mentors are asked to commit to just one hour per week during school hours, during term time, for up to one year. Home Start Sutton is seeking a dedicated and passionate Volunteer Grant Writer to join our team.

Set up a new Walk & Talk or support an existing group in your area. You’ll play an essential role in creating a welcoming and inclusive community for all parents.

As a volunteer Graphic Designer with Cre8, you’ll create eye-catching designs for physical flyers to promote our activities, with some work on social media graphics. This remote role begins with a 20-hour project, the option for ongoing volunteering (approx. 1.5 hours per week). Volunteers are encouraged to attend our activities to gain insight into our mission and see the impact of their work. This is a great opportunity for creative individuals passionate about design and community support.

Would you like to work with us in our lovely park providing events for the community? Are you a dog lover? Or is music or art your thing? Lots of roles for people of all ages and fitness levels.

You will help foster the empowerment of young people from a variety of underprivileged backgrounds, showcasing their individual spirits through inclusivity and togetherness. You’ll be there to help them to discover how brilliant they are; showing them kindness, and teaching them to be proud of themselves as they explore and grow through the week.

We are looking for volunteers to work in our charity hub at The Royal Marsden, Sutton. Visitors to The Royal Marsden will be able to approach the charity hubs to find out more about The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, make donations and buy merchandise.

Volunteers are required to assist with a range of practical conservation / grounds maintenance activities at nature sites around the Borough, including wildlife gardening work at Sutton Ecology Centre.
